Puits Ricard

Sinked in 1932 by the « Compagnie des mines de la Grand’Combe » (Gard), this shaft has a depth of 800 m. He was used for the extraction of coal from 1935 and was closed in 1978.
Initially metallic, the headframe was partially strengthened in 1939 with concrete, further to a terrible fire in the shaft arisen the day of Sainte Barbe, due to the inflammation of a brutal emission of firedamp.
