Darling Foundry - Faubourg des Recollets - Canada

The Darling Foundry was founded in 1888 on the basis of the Yves & Allen foundry, in the Faubourg des Recollets suburb in Montreal. The actual plant was built in 1918 by T. Pringle & Son and was once the second largest foundry in Montreal, nicknamed "the snake" because of its ventilation ducts on the roof.
The foundry was properous until 1971, with more than 800 employees when she definitively closed.
