Avancement of the works in a mine of ochre
|
This mine of Provence exploited a yellow ochre coat of 8 metres in thickness.
The preliminary realization of lateral slits allowed to protect the walls of the future room, located in very fragile sandy fields.
The so accomplished central massif of ochre was then blasted with explosive, without weakening the neighbouring walls.
