Carreau Wendel

One of the last existing former coal mines of Lorraine region, in France. The huge site is composed by three shafts (Puits) and three coal washeries (Lavoirs). The picture shows Lavoir 3 (on the left) and Puits 3, 2 (on the right), seen from the railway yard.

Partially open to the public as museum.
