Ore dressing plant at Håksberg
Håksberg, near Ludvika in Sweden. Small scale mining began in the 18th century. In 1907 an english company aquired the mine. A concrete headframe was built in 1911 (the first in sweden). Two years later, the ownership was transferred to an austrian company. Between 1919 and 1937 the mine was shut down.

In 1937 the mine was pumped and opened by the new owner Lekombergsgruppen. This company was owned by Krupp, Hoesch and Gutehoffnungshütte. After the war the assets were transferred to AB Statsgruvor (government owned). The mine was shut down in 1979.

Today, the ore dressing plant, headframe and offices are preserved. The ore dressing plant in the picture was built in 1939. It was modernised and expanded several times.
