Ramhäll mine
Ramhäll is a small mine located not far from Dannemora, approximately 100km north of Stockholm. The mine was operated by Stora Kopparberg between 1942 and 1975.

Construction of the concrete headframe was rushed, as iron was in short supply during the war years. It is 41m tall and was built using a sliding mould (the stripes and "levels" visible on the walls are a result of this). The building was finished in 1944. Two years later, the attached ore dressing plant was completed.

The Ramhäll ore was low in iron content (approx 30%). Peak output was approx 120000 tons per year.
