Tunstead limekilns

There are eight patent shaft kilns at the Tunstead quarry operated by Buxton Lime Industries. Six of these kilns were built in 1934/35 ( http://www.buxtonlime.co.uk/pages/history_pic4.html ) with a further two being added in the 1960's.
