Die "Königlich Preussische Artilleriewerkstatt" nahm 1905 hier ihren Betrieb auf. 1935 wurde der Betrieb von Rothe Erde übernommen. Rothe Erde fertigt heute u.a. Grosswälzlager und Lenkkränze.
