Stickerei Blanck & Co, Plauen
This building is probably the first steel skeleton construction in Germany. The architect Max Fricke designed this embroidery factory in 1902 for Blanck & Co. In 1919, the building was sold to Siemens & Halske. They expanded the factory to a cable factory. Even today, telephone and communication cables are still being manufactured at Vogtländische Kabelwerk GmbH.
