The shoe manufacturer Ludwig Kopp in Pirmasens, the former centre of shoe production in Germany, extended their factory in 1905. The architecture (by Georg Kuhn) demonstrates the modern attitude of the owners. Today, little shoe production is left and most factories have either been demolished or converted into offices and warehouses.
