Beacon at the entrance of the old harbour of Vlaardingen (NL). This beacon has been erected in 1831. After a period of deterioration it has been reconstructed in 1950. In the background the petrochemical industry on the Vondelingenplaat near Pernis situated at the other side of the Nieuwe Waterweg.
