Kalkbranderij Schunck revisited
|
Former lime kilns "Schunck" in Berg en Terblijt (NL). The kilns were built into the limestone wall. Production started around 1932 and layed down around 1947. The construction of this kiln was special for this region because it has a rectangular filling opening (about 5 m. long and a width of 1.20 m.) and rectangular kiln form. The height is about 7 m. The design is from the well-known architect Peutz.
They are cleaning up the site to preserve the kilns and other parts.
