Patterns of Industry - Silo No.5, Montreal
|
Silo No.5 was in its time the largest in Montreal, with a total of 206 individual silos. The original part was built in 1906, with these concrete silos being added as late as 1959.
The silo has stood empty for some 20 years, but is a classified landmark, and currently still stands pending a decision on what further use could be made of it.
