Cwm Cipwrth waterwheel
|
The copper mine at Cwm Cipwrth lies high above Cwm Pennant in the Snowdonia National Park. The mine operated intermittently throughout much of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The site is so remote that the scrap men have never visited to remove the surface equipment which includes this waterwheel which drove pumps via flat rods and also a winding drum.
