Emscher-Landscape
Duisburg-Beeck. Photo from the railroad running from forming station Duisburg-Meiderich via Haus-Knipp-Bridge over the Rhine to Moers. One of the tracks is now used as bicycle-path showing a lot of formerly "hidden" landscapes.
The tube belongs to the gas-system connecting the heavy industrial works in the north of Duisburg. Below the Köttelbecke (Seawage river) "Alte Emscher in Duisburg-Stockum" running to the Seawage works in Alsum. Left the eastern edge of the abandoned Sinter Plant Duisburg-Beeck. Right in the foreground a lew Lidl-Discounter on a artificial hill (flood protection). Behind a typical use for a remaining space in the ruhr area: dog training. At the horizon right the blast furnace Nr. 1 of Bruckhausen. Date of the Photo: 24.03.2003
